NASA/GRC plans to issue a Request for Quote RFQ 3-165995 for Additional specifications and justification for Phantom Camera VRI-V4-512MC The Ballistic Impact Facility uses High-speed video camera equipment to capture high speed ballistic impact events. Our upcoming tests require the use of this Phantom camera because it has the following unique capabilities. 1. Data Images that download via firewire. 2. C-MOS Imager that is anti-bluming to capture images that are in high illumination (CCD imagers will not offer this feature in the dynamic range we work in). 3. 1000 pps at 512 X 512 pixel color resolution. 4. Up to 33,000pps This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR PART 12. If the procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 33422 and 500 employees, respectively, The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO C9. The anticipated release date of RFQ3-165995 is on or about 01-10-0 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about 01-25-01. All qualified responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
