- Description
- TCS SP2 UV CONFOCAL MICROSCOPIC SYSTEM TO SPECIFICATION/TRAINING (WPH-01-0172) 012601 P0C Myrna Shenkler, Contract Specialist, 202-219-3039, fax 202-219-2371. The General Services Administration, in partnership with the Food and Drug Administration, is seeking sources interested in manufacturing TCS SP2 UV Confocal Microscopic System to Specification/Training. The confocal microscope shall include a research inverted microscope stand with built-in detectors, scanning utilities and lasers, also usable for all conventional fluorescence, transmitted and reflected microscopy techniques, including differential interference contrast (DIC). The confocal shall have four (4) simultaneous fluroescence or reflected/transmitted light/DIC channels and computer controlled detectors. The following laser sources are to be delivered with the instrument: HeNe and Ar-UV, as well as an air/water cooling system. Optical performance (resolution) shall be guaranteed by the manufacturer. The system shall allow the selection of wavelengths for scanning by means of a prism monochromator. Real time x-z scanning at the same frame rate as the x-y scans. Pixel registration in XYZ between all detection channels. No alignment needed when adding or replacing dichroics. The system shall include 3D reconstruction and physiology software. On-site training shall be inclusive of both instrument operation and software. This is not a formal solicitation. All interested parties should submit a written expression of interest to Myrna Shenkler, GSA (WPH), Suite 200W, 1099 14th St., NW, Washington, DC 20005, or email:myrna.shenkler@gsa.gov no later than 1/26/01.
