Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The Naval Air Warfare Center is seeking Commercial or Non Developmental Item (NDI) sources for an Aircraft Electrical Servicing Power Distribution System to be used for servicing aircraft at land based sites. The Electrical Servicing Power Distribution System shall be designed to a modular configuration to allow for tailoring installation configurations to meet the servicing requirements at various Naval Air Stations. The Electrical Servicing Power Distribution System and various components shall not exceed 44 inches tall so that loaded Aircraft may pass over them. To facilitate maintainability, the modules of the Electrical Servicing Power Distribution System shall each be internally designed and packaged in a modular or highly maintainable fashion. System Built-In-Test and/or test points shall be provided to facilitate rapid system status assessment, trouble-shooting, and maintenance. Long term full coverage, on site warranty of the Electrical Servicing Power Distribution System is required. The Electrical Servicing Power Distribution System shall incorporate design and production processes that insure reliable continuous operation over the full range of operational and unsheltered environmental extremes specified. Components, modules, connectors, chassis, enclosures, etc., shall be of rugged and robust design and materials to operate reliably over long periods of time without functional or structural failures. The Electrical Servicing Power Distribution System modular configuration shall consist of a Distribution Box, Frequency converter and DC power supplies (as required). The Distribution Box shall provide circuit breaker protection for one Frequency converter and be easily modified to provide protection for two Frequency converters. The Distribution Box shall also provide the necessary transformers and circuit breaker protection for two 100A, 480V, 3 phase, 3W, 4pole weatherproof receptacles and a 120V, single phase 60Hz receptacle. The Frequency Converter shall convert 480v, 60Hz power to 115V, 400 Hz. Each Frequency Converter shall have two output cables. The Frequency Converter shall be mounted on caster wheels to allow a person to move the Frequency Converter from one Distribution Box to another.It is requested that information be submitted NO LATER THAN 19 January 2001 to Alice Hugus, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (Code 25221/129-2), Highway 547, Lakehurst, NJ 08733-5082, who may be reached by telephone (732)323-2971, Facsimile (732)323-7440, or electronic mail: hugusae@navair.navy.mil. The Government will not release any information marked with a Proprietary legend, received in response to this RFI, to any firms, agencies, or individuals outside the Government without written permission in accordance with the legend.
