- This is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; A proposal is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation DACW29-01-T-0039 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This is a 100% small business set-aside, therefore bidding is RESTRICTED to Small Business Concerns. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 7629 and the business size standard is $5 million average annual receipts. This announcement is for a Indefinite Delivery Requirements contract. The following is required: The U S Army Corps of Engineers has a requirement for a contractor to provide Electrical services on an as needed basis, to perform electrical maintenance and repairs at the USACE New Orleans District. Work includes maintenance to the above and below ground high voltage distribution system, and includes poles and power feeds to main transformers. The 480 volt secondary systems including disconnects on the secondary side of the transformers, buss ducts, main switch gears and power distribution panels. Transformer and breaker panels, power and lightning systems in all buildings and electrical equipment on the district reservation. Services will include providing two people to perform specific duties as indicated in individual Task Orders. Including normal electricians qualificaitons, Marine Insurance is mandatory for work associated with the District Wharf areas and the stringout barges. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer will be most advantageous to the Government. Price and past performance being of equal value of importance. The Government may award a contract on the basis of initial offers received, without discussions. Therefore, each initial offer should contain the offeror's best terms from a cost, price, technical standpoint. ONLY Fax Requests for this RFQ will be honored.
