Description

NASA/SSC plans to issue a Request for Offers (RFO) for Design, Fabrication, Inspection, Testing, and Delivery of one (1) each, Vertical Day Tank, 150 psig/15,000 gallon capacity net liquid hydrogen or liquid oxygen ready storage tank; one (1) lot, Source Inspection; and one (1) lot, Vessel Cleaning, in accordance with Specification No. 11CGK-GM10 which will be included in the solicitation package. The vessel shall be National Board Registered and ASME code stamped meeting ASME Code Section VIII, Div. I. Outer vessel shall be constructed per ASME code but does not need to be code stamped. The vessel shall be suitable for the stationary, exposed, above ground storage of liquid hydrogen or liquid oxygen. The vessel arrangement shall be vertical and shall fit the existing foundation at Stennis Space Center, Mississippi's E-1 Complex site. See Appendix A4, "Existing Foundation Plan" included in the solication. F.O.B. point is Destination. Delivery shall be within 270 days after contract award. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR PART 12. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 332420 and 1,000 employees, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO-C9. The anticipated release date of RFO13-SSC-O-01-11 is on or about January 16, 2001 with an anticipated offer due date of on or about February 20, 2001.
