Description
The United States Coast Guard, Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic intends to issue a three year Firm Fixed Price Requirements Contract for Allied Systems Company Marine Crane Davits, Model Number D-5700-CT, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This requirement is being solicited on a Brand Name basis under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR Subpart 6.302-1. Allied Systems Company Davit, Model D-5700-CT is replacing the Model D-5000-CT Davit, and is the only equipment that will satisfy form, fit and function requirements without major modification to the existing equipment configuration. The Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on or about January 22, 2001 via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) at www.eps.gov. The RFQ number is DTCG80-01-Q-3FA707. Hard copies of the RFQ will not be issued. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the EPS system for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333923 _ Overhead Traveling Crane, Hoist, and Monorail System Manufacturing, and the small business size standard is 500. The acquisition is for an estimated quantity of 10 davits to be procured over three years. The davits will be ordered by delivery order and delivered F.O.B. Destination, within 120 days after date of order, to the U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Command, Baltimore, MD. Items shall be packed, packaged and marked in accordance with commercial standards. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government. All interested sources may submit a quote which will be considered by the Coast Guard. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE). The Department of Transportation (DOT) Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
