Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to contract with Rolls-Royce for the Component Improvement Program (CIP) services in support of the T-45 Adour (F405) engine. CIP shall provide engineering and support services to maintain systems effectiveness and optimize the affordable readiness of the T-45 Adour (F405) engine. The period or performance shall be 1 April 2001 through 31 March 2002. Rolls-Royce is the sole manufacturer of the F405 series engines and the only firm with the requisite knowledge and expertise to perform the effort. See Note No. 22.*****
