Description

This is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; A proposal is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation DACW29-01-T-0040 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This is a 100% small business set-aside, therefore bidding is RESTRICTED to Small Business Concerns. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is exempt and the business size standard is 1000. This announcement is for a Firm Fixed Price Contract. The following is required: The U S Army Corps of Engineers has a requirement for a contractor to provide management, supervision, labor, subcontracting, services of manufacturers representatives and all facilities, utilities, equipment, tools, lubricants, fuels, materials, and articles required to fully execute the services required. The BIENVILLE is a welded steel towboat 60'-6" long, 22'-11" wide and 7'-6" deep. The light displacement is 126 long tons. The loaded displacement is 151 long tons. Contractor will be required to Dry Dock the vessel and hold it on Dry Dock until all underwater repairs, cleaning, painting and inspections are completed. Steering control system and alarm panel to be installed in pilothouse console and other repairs are to be accomplished. The Government will award a contract resulting from this soliciation to the responsible offeror whose offer will be most advantageous to the Government. Price and past performance being of equal value of importance. The Government may award a contract on the basis of initial offers received, without discussions. Therefore, each initail offer should contain the offeror's best terms from a cost, price, technical standpoint. ONLY Fax Requests for this RFQ will be honored.
