Description

TACOM-Rock Island is seeking sources for the procurement of a Non-Developmental Item (NDI). The description of this item is as follows: NOUN Boresight Telescope Assembly, NSN 6680-01-449-0887. This item is for use in Boresight alignment of the Bradley Fighting Vehicle (BFV) Weapon System during fire control system calibration. The BFV weapon system consists of the M242 (25MM) Main Gun, M240 (7.62MM) Coaxil Machine Gun, and the Tube Launched Optically Tracked-Wire Guided Missile System (TOW). The Boresight Telescope Assembly (BTA) shall contain/consist of the following parameters/requirements: (1) 12X magnification to match Integrated Sight Unit (ISU), (2) Accuracy of 20 seconds of arc (.1 mils), (3) Collimation adjutment of the reticle at user level allowing precise tuning to essentially zero error (.04 mil reticle width), (4) Ruggedized optics meeting MIL-STD-810, (5) Carrying case containing all components including the 25MM adapter, (6) Integral 7.62 adapter, and (7) Night use capability. The BTA provided shall meet the Government's performance specifications, which will be provided when a solicitation is issued.
