Description

Furnish all labor, material, equipment, and each and every item of expense for the construction of the Dock Extension at the National Marine Fisheries Service at Pascagoula, Mississippi. The construction generally includes but is not limited to the following: (1) General site demolition to include removal of pavement, large concrete rubble, timber, chain-link fencing, and electrical material; (2) Repair of portions of the existing concrete pier beams and slab; (3) Installation of a tied, concrete deadman steel sheet pile bulkhead; (4) Installation of a prestressed precast concrete piling and slabs; (5) Forming and pouring concrete beams and slabs over water; (6) Installation of a hung timber fender system and resilient foam filled fenders; (7) Construction of a timber boarding dock for small boats and a concrete, one-lane boat launching ramp; (8) General site utilities, pavement, fencing, sidewalks, and shoreline protection; (9) General electrical utilities and installation of ship accessible utilities such as water, CATV, phone, and power; (10) Marine dredging including some land excavation. Completion time for this project is 180 calendar days. This is a total small business set-aside. SIC code 1542 applies. Estimated construction cost is from $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. Specifications and bid documents will be available on or about January 22, 2001. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
