- Description
- NASA Marshall Space Flight Center is seeking companies to license its new RF power amplifier for use applications such as commercial satellites and portable electronics. This revolutionary high-efficiency design can reduce power consumption by a factor of 5, thus decreasing solar array requirements for satellites and increasing battery life for portable electronics. The design has been tested and proven and is ready for a company to move it into commercial production. For satellite applications, the technology does not yet have a flight heritage, but NASA plans to use it on future missions. For more details on this technology and its applications, see: http://nasasolutions.com/tech_ops/S-Band.pdf or contact Mark Obenshain (email mdo@rti.org, tel 919-541-7429, or fax 919-541-6221) no later than February 2, 2001.
