Description

The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small disadvantaged 8(a) concerns, under NAICS code 541611, with a size standard of $5 million. This acquisition will be competed among 8(a) concerns. It is estimated that the release date of the request for proposal (RFP) will be on or about January 26, 2001, with proposals due on or about March 16, 2001. The objective of this procurement is to provide technical and logistical support for every aspect of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism's (NIAAA) outreach and liaison efforts. The successful offeror will be required to provide: general conference and logistical support services that facilitate collaboration, coordination, research, and the research to practice effort; policy analysis support; support in the preparation of materials to educate, collaborate with and cooperate with scientists, researchers, practitioners, policy makers, and the general public about research findings and other activities; and administrative support. A similar 8(a) contract was awarded through the U.S. Small Business Administration to R.O.W. Sciences, Incorporated, 1700 Research Boulevard, Suite 400, Rockville, Maryland 20850-3142 on May 23, 1997 in the amount of $2,500,000. NIAAA anticipates awarding a performance-based contract for a period of two years with three one-year options. This RFP will be available through the Internet.
