- Description
- Request for Proposal # IX-01-01 for continued operation of the Sierra Nevada Job Corps Center located in Reno, NV will be made available on December 13, 2000 by written request to the Agency, and on the Job Corps Acquisition Home Page (http://www.wdsc.org/jobcorps). Job Corps is a residential training program for economically disadvantaged youth, between the ages of 16-24. Contractors will manage and operate a Government Leased facility and hire staff for residential living, basic education, vocational training, outreach, admission, career development services, and health care services in accordance with the applicable DOL/Job Corps regulations. Copies of DOL/Job Corps regulations are available at the above mentioned web site. The Center is located at 5005 Echo Ave., Reno, NV 89506. The contract capacity is for approximately 290 male residentials, 10 male non-residenitals, 255 female residential, 15 non-residential, for a total capacity of 570 trainees. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be a cost plus fixed fee contract for a two year period from September 1, 2001 through August 31, 2003, plus three performance based options of one year each. There will be a pre-proposal conference that will conviene on January 09, 2001 at 10:00 AM (PST) on center followed immediately by a walk through of the Sierra facility. The RFP will consist of a written submission in accordance with instructions provided in Section L of the RFP. It is recommended that you download the RFP prior to attending the Pre-proposal Conference. All questions related to this procurement shall be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer prior to the Pre-proposal Conference. Proposals are due no later than 2:00 PM (PST) February 16, 2001. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Agency.
