Description
Ventilated Mouse Rack Model 2L96MAC10CACP 96 Cage complete with cage body, covers with filter paper, water bottles, sipper tubes and cage card holder; System Trolley, Model ACCAVFB04 with supply and exhaust HEPA fan units, silicone ducting and SS manifold system; and Mouse Cages, Model 1284L, as manufactured by Tecniplast USA, P.O. Box 181, Birchrunville, PA 19421. Salient features include: (1) formed filter top that have an integrally designed depression for a water bottle that can be removed from the cage without removing the cage lid or the cage from the rack. (2) Ventilation tubes (air manifolds) to be round or oval for optimal air circulation and static pressure, to be easily removed from the rack, and withstand being disinfected and washed in a rack washer with maximum temperatures established by the user. Each tube section to have an opening for ease of tube cleaning but to be adequately sealed when in use. (3) Each cage must be able to sustain "positive" or "negative" pressure when placed in positive or negative (exhaust) mode. (4) Noise generating from the cage rack fans must not exceed 50dBA. (5) Cage racks to be of the recirculating type; i.e. room air should be filtered and delivered to the animal cages via the top of the cage. Exhaust air to be filtered via the cage top. Cage racks to be fitted with supply and exhaust air fans connected to the cage rack with flexible hoses. Exhaust fans to be mounted at side of the rack on separate trolleys which will be able to service several interconnected racks. (6) Supply and exhaust air shall be filtered with the class corresponding to the HEPA filter class with an efficiency level of >99.99% according to the warm DOP method for 0.3 um particles. If the same of equal item(s) are available from another source, product information and descriptive literature must be furnished with proposal to this office no later than 2:00 pm, February 12, 2001. The determination to open competition, based on any information received, will be solely at the Government's discretion. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) No. 332618 is applicable. A written Request Quotations will be issued approximately January 19, 2001 as a commercial items procurement.
