Description

The intention of this solicitation is to obtain maintenance, repair, replacement, alteration, modernization, renovation, layaway and caretaker services for military family and bachelor housing, family and bachelor housing assets (Community Center, Self-Help Store, Housing Office, and Warehouses), a 60-space mobile home park, and other real property at MenRiv Park and Naval Weapons Station Charleston (WPNSTA CHASN), Goose Creek, South Carolina, by means of a combination firm fixed-price and indefinite quantity contract. This section describes the scope of the services to be provided and establishes the acceptable standards for performing the work. All work will be ordered to be performed in both occupied and vacant quarters unless stated otherwise. All work shall comply with the technical standards contained in this contract. It is the Government's intention to issue this solicitation exclusively through the Internet at http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. The entire solicitation will be available at the site for viewing or downloading. Prospective offerors are encouraged to register at the web site. This will normally be the only method of distribution of amendments, therefore it is the offeror's responsibility to periodically check the web site for amendments to the solicitation. The official plan holder list will also be maintained on and can be printed from the web site. RFP issuance date will be on or about January 18, 2001. The contract performance period will include a base year with four option years with a total contract term not to exceed 60 months. Except when it is determined in accordance with FAR 17.206(b) not to be in the government's best interests, the government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. This is a negotiated source selection procurement which consists of the submission of price and technical proposals. The NAICS for this procurement is 235990 with a size standard of $11.5 Million. The solicitation will be issued as an unrestricted procurement.
