Description

The work to be performed consists of maintenance and configurations to the hardware, radio, basestations and software for the Olympus Dam Early Warning System (EWS). Examples of some of the annual preventative maintenance include test and tune all RF transmitters to varying frequencies; test and adjust all active Radio Transmission Units, test and maintain power supply components, solar panels and batteries; test and maintain cables, connectors, and antennas, grounding systems, solar panels and other system components. Examples of some of the annual reconfiguration maintenance include removing all unheaded tipping buckets to prevent winter damage returning equipment to service and calibrating in the spring; test all heated tipping buckets in the fall; and raise pressure transducers during the winter months, securing above high water, returning to service with calibration checks in the spring. All of the work to be performed is located in Larimer County, Colorado, on Reclamation owned equipment in mountainous drainage systems contributing tributaries to Lake Estes (Olympus Dam). The due date for the quotes is tentatively scheduled for January 26, 2001. The term of this contract is approximately February 1st through September 30, 2001. All reasonable sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. This is a Small Business Set-Aside. This acquisition will be made pursuant to FAR Part 12, Commercial Item Acquisition. The National American Industrial Classification System code is 54169. The Standard Industrial Classification code is 8999. The small business size standard is $5.0 Million. To receive a copy of the RFQ, contractors shall fax a request to (406) 247-7798.
