Description

A-1 EAST THINNING & REMOVAL, USDA Forest Service, Region 3 Western Zone Contracting & Property, Coconino National Forest. This Request for Proposals is for the services of harvest, removal, and fuel reduction treatment of ponderosa pine timber on 1,074 acres. Work includes road reconstruction; all contract work must be performed between May 1 and November 30 of each year, through December 31, 2003. Service Contract Act Wage Determination and Migrant and Seasonal Workers Protection Act apply to thinning portion of project and Davis Bacon Wage Determination applies to the road reconstruction portion. Included timber (8,975 ccf) will be sold at $0.73/ccf, the National minimum rate. A $1,000.00 performance bond will be required after project is awarded. Project is located on the Peaks Ranger District, Coconino National Forest (T.21 & 22 N., R.6 & 7E, G&SRB&M).
