Description

The U.S. Department of Justice, Justice Management Division has a requirement to upgrade its PEGASYS 1000 Security Management, Access Control System. The Department purchased and installed the following to be included with the upgrade: 4 Pelco 1/3" 4mm 13FA4 lenses, 4 Pelco CC3300-2 1/3" color cameras, 12 Pelco SD5TAC-F1 Spectra 350TVL cameras, 17 Pelco Model SD5BCBW-PG-E1 Spectra II TM Series Premier Integrated Dome Systems, 6 14" Pelco PMC14F 14" 450 TVL Color Monitors, Sony HSR digital video recording systems and Pelco video matrix switcher, which utilize a Pelco 64-alarm input interface card. The contractor shall provide an Access Control System that monitors, controls and appropriately authorize passage into and out of the building and designated areas within the building, creates proximity photo-ID badges, provides alerts/alarms, is programmable for various accesses, supports graphical maps of the building's rooms/corridors, and provides "who is in" and various reports for the Security Officer, via menus, and allows for the creation of reports by the Security Officer. This upgrade will be interfaced with the existing building fire-alarm system. A pre-proposal site visit will be held -- date to be specified in the Request for Quote (RFQ). This is a 100% small business set-aside. The RFQ will be available about January 31, 2001 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Electronic Posting System (EPS) web site at http://www.eps.gov (hard copies of the RFQ will not be available). The EPS site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including RFQ amendments, will also be distributed solely through the EPS site.
