Description
1. The purpose of this modification is to change the order of importance of the primary selection criteria, and to include an additional secondary selection criteria. 2. The selection criteria are changed to read as follows: PRIMARY CRITERIA: (a) Specialized experience and technical competence of the firm in the type of work required for the Seattle District, U. S. Corps of Engineers customers in the geographical area for this contract;. (b) Past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules (c) Professional qualifications of firm's staff and consultants to be assigned to this project, which are necessary for satisfactory performance of required services; (d) Ability of the firm to respond to numerous quick turnaround projects and knowledge of locality of projects involved; (e) Capacity of the firm to accomplish the work required in the required time;. (f) Sustainable design using an integrated design approach and emphasizing environmental stewardship, especially energy and water conservation and efficiency; reduction or elimination of toxic and harmful substances in facilities construction or operation; efficiency in resource and materials utilization; and development of healthy, safe and productive work environments. The evaluation will consider projects performed by the prime firm and consultants that demonstrate these sustainable design principles and the qualifications of key personnel that demonstrate their experience and training in sustainable design SECONDARY CRITERIA: (g) Volume of work awarded in the past 12 months by DoD to the firm and consultants to be used on this project. (h) Provide the extent of participation in the subcontracting goals for the Seattle District, which will be considered in the negotiation of this contract as follows: (1) at least 55% of a contractor's intended subcontract amount be placed with Small Businesses (SB); (2) at least 9% of a contractor's intended subcontract amount be placed with Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB) or Historically Black College or University and Minority institution; (3) at least 5% of a contractor's intended subcontract amount be placed with Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), (4) at least 3% Service-disabled Veteran-owned small business subcontracts; (5) at least 1% of a contractor's intended subcontract amount be placed with Hubzones. 3. The response date of 12 Jan 01 is unchanged, and all other information remains the same.
