Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Dieseases (NIDDK) intends to acquire Twenty (20) Rhesus monkeys, male or female, weight 2.5-3.5kg, antibody negative for herpes B, SRV, SIV, STLV-1. Availability must be by March 1, 2001. The facility from which these monkeys are being sent from must be AALAC approved or have a facility approved standard sanctioned by their veterinarian primate facility. They should be shipped according to AALAC guidelines. In the Request for Quote (RFQ) the vendor must provide proof of AALAC approval or proper veterinarian guidelines, from the facility, to be reviewed by the Project Officer at NIH. Interested vendors that are capable of providing the Government with the Rhesus Monkeys described above may request a copy of the RFQ in writing or by FAX to 301-480-4226 to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. It is anticipated that the RFQ NIH-NIDDK-01-616 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten days (10) after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date is February 1, 2001.
