Description

Red River Army Depot intends to issue a solicitation resulting in a requirements type contract for Tread Elastomer in support of its road wheel rebuild program. Contract period will be 12 months. The following nsn's, sizes, and estimated quantities. Group A, Class1: NSN 264000o0002, Wheel Size 26 X 6", Die Size 64-64-46 Min X 84" length, est qty 8,000 pieces; NSN 264000X844002, Wheel Size 24 X 3 3/4", Die Size 51-51-42 Min X 80" length, est qty 4,000 pieces; NSN 264000X902323, Wheel Size 12.5 X 12.5 X 2", Die Size 27-27-36 Min X 86" length, est qty 2,000 pieces; NSN 264000X902324, Wheel Size 11 X 3.44" , Die Size 41-41-44 Min X 78" length, est qty 2,000 pieces. Group B, Class1:NSN 264000X990066, Wheel Size 28 X 3.3", Die Size 46-46-36 min length 91 est qty 1,500 pieces. Material shall meet the requirements of MIL-DTL-45301E, Tread Elastomer: Solid Tires For Track Laying Vehicles, unless otherwise specified. Samples for first article testing (FAT) are required for firms who have not previously provided this product to this Depot. 150 pounds of the formulation in proper strip size must be provided in advance of the date set for receipt of proposals for FAT. FAT will consist of physical properties testing, TGA and adhesion testing on a road wheel.
