- Description
- Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV), China Lake, CA intends to negotiate on an other-than-competitive basis with SEI, Asheville, NC a fixed price order under BOA Number N68936-00-G-0001 for Thin-Pack Parachute (TPP) systems, components, related assemblies, engineering/logistical support and other services. This order is for contractor support in providing packing and marking of up to 2,900 P-3 TPP systems stored at the contractor's facility for delivery to Government-directed sites and agencies. SEI is the only source producing Thin-Pack Parachute Systems using the Thin-Pack/Lightweight Environmentally Sealed Parachute Assembly (LESPA) technology and is the only source to pack, mark and ship TPP systems without violating existing warranties. Thin-Pack Parachute drawing packages and associated packing, sealing, and closing processes has proprietary markings, making required design and maintenance information unreleasable. Anticipated period of performance will be from date of award through 30 Sep 2002. Place of performance: contractor's facility Asheville, NC. FOB Origin. Solicitation will be issued on or about January 18, 2001 and will be available through the China Lake 2.0 Contracts Competency home page at http://www.nawcwpns.navy.mil/~contract/homepubl.htm. Closing date 30 days after issuance. Anticipate award 45 days after synopsis. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation, which will be considered by the Agency. Interested parties other than SEI must respond in writing (via mail, email, or fax) demonstrating the offeror's experience and capabilities in parachutes incorporating the Thin-Pack technology and the level of maintenance support required by the Government. Phone Number: (760) 939-8234, Fax: (760) 939-7510. Address: Commander NAWCWD Code 210000D, Attn: W.T. Monckton, 1 Administration Circle, Bldg. 20259, China Lake, CA 93555-6100. See Notes 22 and 26
