Description

The solicited item is an Upper Cover Assembly, NSN 1560-01-061-6556, McDonnell Douglas P/N 68A113051-2018. McDonnell Douglas is the only approved source. This is a flight safety/critical application item. Any manufacturer other than McDonnell Douglas wishing to submit a bit must also submit a complete source approval package for evaluation in order to be considered for award (see FAR 52.217-9002 and 52.217-9G04). DSCR does not have an approved technical data package available for this NSN. Origin inspection required. FOB is origin; ship to Robins AFB, GA. Qty: 40 each. A Letter Solicitation will be issued. Anticipated award date is March 15, 2001. Numbered Note 26 applies. Intend to award against existing BOA with McDonnell Douglas Corp. If any manufacturer other than McDonnell Douglas wishes to submit a bid and a source approval package a written request for a complete solicitation package should be sent to the attention of Jason Williams at facsimile number 804-279-6078 by COB 02 Feb 2001. The final contract decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
