- Description
- This is a competitive requirement to modify and upgrade existing support equipment (SE) used in the maintenance testing of LANTIRN navigation (AN/AAQ-13) and targeting (AN/AAQ-14) system pods and individual line replaceable units (LRU's) to improve deployability, throughput, reliability and maintainability. The basic contract requires design, development and submittal of 1 ea prototype plus associated field trial support, software support, data, travel and per diem, and up to 15 Group B production kits. There will be three annual options for up to 15 Group B production kits and associated data, travel and per diem. The maximum number of Group B production kits to be purchased over the life of the contract is 25 ea. The acquisition is being conducted iaw AFFARS 5315.300 median source selection procedures. Approx issue date of formal RFP is 19 Jan 2001 with approx date for receipt of proposals 19 Feb 2001. Written solicitations will not be issued. The solicitation will be posted at: http://pkec.robins.af.mil/ semlu.semlu.htm No telephone requests. Only written or faxed (912-926-7530) requests received directly from the requestor are acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/contracting officer identified above for additional information and/or to communicate any concerns ragarding this acquitition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the contracting officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to dmininsh the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals.
