Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego intends to issue a restricted solicitation to provide labor and materials to repair existing damage to the Yokohama Fender System and Sump Volume Expansion. Currently, the pier cannot be used to moor and fuel vessels greater than 755 feet in length. The repairs need to be made before a ship greater than 755 feet in length can be accomodated at the fuel pier. The Government intends to negotiate with B&C Diving and Construction. Delivery under the contract will be FOB Destination (San Diego CA). Justification for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-(b)(1), "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." See numbered note(s) 22.
