Description

Description of Work: The National Park Service, Denver Service Center, is soliciting proposals from construction firms having the capability to perform the work described below. A negotiated firm-fixed price contract will be awarded, requiring submission of both a technical and a price proposal. The Government will consider an offeror's capability in comparison to its price and will make a best value award. The work of the contract consists of two projects; site development for new Camper Services Facilities near Riley Creek Campground and the rehab and expansion of Riley Creek Campground itself. Both projects are located near the entrance area of Denali National Park and Preserve, Alaska. The work of the contract includes, but is not limited to: Site Development Project -- construction of circulation roads and parking, finish site work for buildings, landscaping, installation of a sanitary dump station and underground utility extensions. Paving and striping of the parking lot, access road and service drive may be included as an option. Campground Rehab and Expansion Project -- rehab or new construction of circulation roads, campsite parking and tent pads, installation of campsite amenities, construction of two new comfort stations and rehab of two existing comfort stations. Replacement of additional campsite amenities and the rehab of existing campsite parking and tent pads may be included as options. Estimated price range, $1,000,000 to $5,000,000.. -- Time for completion is estimated to be approximately 210 calendar days for the Site Development Project and approximately 485 calendar days for the rehab and expansion of the Riley Creek Campground Project. -- This solicitation is open to large and small businesses. All responsible sources may submit an offer. The Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued on or about January 19, 2001.
