Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations document (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. To view the supplements go to the Oakland FTS Office (9TE) of GSA at www.eps.gov. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number 9TER-01-FDH-0015 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC)97-19. The simplified acquisition procedures of FAR Part 13 are applicable to this procurement. This procurement is to provide the 9th Communications Squadron located at Beale Air Force Base, CA with backup tapes and associated equipment. The requirement comprises the following contract line items (CLINs): 1) One BullFrog with 3 AIT-2 Drives and 40 Slots, High Voltage Differential SCSI Interface Standard 19" Rack Mount, 2) On site Installation Service with charge per day, 3) One BullFrog 3 Drive Unit Next Business Day Support- Includes 5 x 8 Telephone Support, 4) Three 15 230 meter tapes, pre-applied bar code labels, a tray and one cleaning cartridge, 5) One 230 meter tapes, pre-applied bar code labels, a tray and one cleaning cartridge, 6) SCSI Cables-Wide 68 pin M-M cable,25ft/8m (for use with differential only), 7) SCSI Cables-Wide Differential Terminator, 68HD Male-68HD Male. The government will award a contract resulting from this RFQ to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to this notice will be most advantageous, representing the best value to the government price and other factors considered. Type of contract: A firm fixed price definite quantity, definite delivery contract will be awarded. All prices are to be quoted _FOB Destination._ The following _Best Value_ factors shall be used in descending order of importance for evaluating the offers: (1) Price, (2) Technical, (3) Warranty and (4) Delivery terms-ability to meet required delivery schedule. Delivery of these items is required within (10) ten business days after award. Please acknowledge all requirements. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its offer. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The potential awardee shall be required to register in IT Solutions Shop at it-solutions.gsa.gov. for post-award process. All responses received by 4:00 p.m., PST, 1/9/01 will be considered by the government. Questions must be submitted by end of business 1/4/01.
