Description

In conjunction with VA North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS) Special Procedures Room Renovation Project, project number RM2085.17, this VA facility, after advertisement (reference solicitation numbers 549-34-00, dated 09/30/99 and 549-39-00 dated 10-28-99), negotiated a contract with Innerspace Corporation, Grand Rapids, MI for the provision of customized metal carts. The completion of the aforementioned project will require customized stainless steel cabinetry that matches the existing Innerspace carts in all aspects of design specifications to include adherence to exact dimensions due to limited space. For this reason the VANTHCS contemplates a negotiated sole source award to Innerspace Corp. for their 5000 series cabinetry to include shelf, tray and divider accessories. FOB destination delivery and installation will be included in the awarded procurement. To maintain the project completion schedule, delivery and installation must be completed within 6o to 75 days from award of a purchase order. The procurement will be accomplished as a commercial item purchase under the guidelines of FAR Parts 12 and 13, "Acquisition of Commercial Items" and "Simplified Acquisition Procedures" respectively. A solicitation package will be issued on or about 01/05/01 and quotations will be due on or 01/19/01. A copy of the solicitation will be made available through electronic posting at the following URL: http://www.va.gov/oa&mm/busopp/sols.htm. It shall be the responsibility of interested parties to obtain all amendments at the same URL. A hard copy of the specifications, requirements, solicitation clauses and provisions to include solicitation amendments may be obtained for a fee of $10.00. Request must be made in writing and addressed to David L. Hill (90C), 4500 S. Lancaster Rd., Dallas, TX 75216. Because of the $10.00 fee no phone or fax request will be accepted. The fee must be in the form of a check or money order made out to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
