Description

The Acquisition Management Department, National Naval Medical Center has a requirement for the Biological Defense Research Department, Naval Medical Research Center, 503 Robert Grant Avenue, Silver Spring MD 20910. NNMC intends to award a sole sourced preventive maintenance contract to Applied Biosystems, 850 Lincoln Centre Drive, Foster City CA 94404 for two(2)Sequence Detectors Model 7700, one (1) DNA Sequencer Model 377 and Four (4) GeneAmp PCR Systems Model 9600. Applied Biosystems is the manufacturer of this equipment and services it. Award will be made for one (1) year effective 01 October 2000 through 30 September 2001. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is being conducted under the guidelines as set forth in the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP).
