Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to procure services to upgrade software, repair and calibrate approximately 108 AN/APM 480, Transponder Set, Test Sets, P/N 90-000-059. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Tel-Instrument Electronics Corporation, Carlstadt, New Jersey. Under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, this firm is considered the only supplier of these services for which they are the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) with proprietary rights to the data relevant to the manufacture and repair of the units. The proposed Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) for the software upgrade, repair and calibration shall be for 36 months. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within thirty days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. The Government will not pay for any information received.
