Description
1. USACE, Portland District, Contracting Division, CENWP-CT-S, PO Box 2946 (Zip 97208) / 333 SW 1st Avenue (Zip 97204), POC: Elizabeth Baierl, 503-808-4616. Offers are due by Thursday, January 4, 2001 at 4 P.M. Reference PR# 0307-2622 on all correspondence. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Solicitation is being issued to establish a Commercial Purchase Order for the acquisition of Tubing, NAICS 33299, FSC 4730, SIC 3499, small business size standard: 500 employees. This solicitation is set-aside for small businesses exclusively. Note: On-site delivery is required no later than 28 February 2001. The tubing will be used in the rehab of turbine generator coolers. The tubes are 74" long by 5/8" diameter (nominal) and are belled to 1.5" on one end. The tubing shall be made of 90/10 CuNi conforming to ASTM B111 for copper alloy. Tubing OD shall be 0.750" (5/8' nominal) with a minimum wall thickness of 0.049" to a maximum of 0.065". Tubes shall be belled on one end to fit existing tube sheets. The tubing shall be finned. The fins shall be copper and may be extruded or tension wound. Fins shall be spaced at 9 fins per inch. The fin outside diameter shall be 1.5". Fin thickness shall be a minimum of 0.012" to a maximum of 0.016". Manufacturer's specifications of the proposed finned tubing shall be submitted as part of the bid to verify acceptability. The option may be unilaterally exercised at the discretion of the Government, subject to need and funding availability. Offerors shall submit prices as follows: CLIN 0001, Tubing, copper, 74" long, 1,392 units at $___________per unit, $___________extended total, and CLIN 1001, Tubing, copper, 74" long, 1,392 units at $___________per unit, $___________extended total.
