Description

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) has a requirement for "Hazard Prediction and Assessment Capability (HPAC) Software Development and Integration." This is a full and open, unrestricted competition. The potential for release of Nuclear, Biological, Chemical, and Radiological (NBCR) materials poses an increasing threat to military forces around the world. The HPAC software has been developed as a tool for the commander in the field to use as a deliberate planning tool as well as a means by which the hazard from such releases can be evaluated and minimized. Requirements include Software Developer Support; Software Integration; Software Problem Reporting, Tracking, and Resolution; Software Configuration Control; Software Testing; User Documentation; Software Production; Coordination with other Developers; Code Benchmarking; Research and Development towards upgrades; Software Architecture Maintenance, Validation, Verification, and Accreditation; and Modeling and Simulation. Period of Performance, planned to commence March or April of 2001, is 36 months, with 2 additional 12-month option periods.
