- Description
- The Social Security Administration requires contract services of BC/BE Internists, Family Practitioners, or Generalists in Internal Medicine and BC/BE Psychiatrists to serve as Regional Medical Consultants needed to review medical claims under the Title II & Title XVI disability programs of the Social Security Act. The procurements will be for commercial services prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12 and will be conducted using simplified acquisitions procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. The period of performance shall be from April 1, 2001 to March 31, 2002 with provisions for four one year option years. Services involve the review of medical evidence in disability claims. Performance of services shall be in government space in the Boston area. Some travel may be required and there is no patient contact. Offerors must have: (1) a valid license to practice medicine to in the US; and (2) be available for onsite work a minimum of 15 hours per week between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. RMCs assist in identifying medical policy issued and trends and train disability personnel at both the Federal and state level. Competitive pricing will be solicited and accepted. RFQ is scheduled to be released on or about December 22, 2000 with quotes due January 22, 2001. No telephone requests for the RFQ will be honored. This requirement is 100% small business set-aside. Quotes from OTHER than a small business will be deemed unacceptable and given no further consideration.
