Description

The U.S. Army Research Laboratory intends to negotiate a sole source contract with the University of Texas-Austin Institute for Advanced Technology (UT-IAT)pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(3) for Basic and Applied Research in Electrodynamics, Pulsed Power, and Hypervelocity Physics and related areas. This contract will continue the effort previously conducted under contract DAAA21-93-C-0101. UT-IAT is the Army's University Affiliated Research Center (UARC) for electrodynamics, pulsed power and hypervelocity physics, and has advanced the state of the art in these areas since 1990. The determination that UT-IAT is uniquely qualified for this requirement is based on a formal comprehensive review of the Institute's capablities and the report dated 04 December 1998. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered.
