- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division intends to enter into negotiations on an other-than-full-and-open-competitive basis with Reynolds Systems, Inc. (Reynolds), 18649 Hwy 175, Middletown, CA 95461 for 152 each BBU-60/B Booster Fuzes, Specification Number AS-6127, Drawing Numbers 1765AS5180, 1765AS5181, 1765AS5182, 1765AS5183, 1765AS5184, 1765AS5185, 1765AS5186. Principal ingredient is PBXN-7 molding powder (MIL-E-82874). All units shall be delivered not later than July 30, 2001. 69 each shall be delivered to The Boeing Company, McDonnell Aircraft and Missile Systems, St. Louis Division and 76 each shall be delivered to the Naval Air Warfare Center, China Lake, CA. Negotiations will be with Reynolds on an other-than-full-and-open-competitive basis because only Reynolds has the tooling, processes, and detailed design knowledge necessary to successfully fabricate BBU-60/B Boosters. Responses to this intent to solicit, other than Reynolds, should be submitted no later than 30 days from the date of the synopsis and should address specific knowledge of and experience with the BBU-60/B Booster. See Note 22 (Intention to solicit and negotiate with only one source).
