Description

Removal of all scrap Government property identified as being of no further use to the Government, as determined by the Chief, Materiel Management Section or designee. It may include patient medical items, laboratory equipment, and furniture (consisting of medical desks, cabinets, and shelving units), general furniture (consisting of copper, aluminum brass, and other). Vendor is to provide all labor, and materials to remove scrap, but if a forklift is required, it will be furnished along with the operator by the Denver VA Medical Center. A minimum of bi-weekly pickups is requird or more often as deemed necessary by the designated Warehouse Personnel. Pickup is at the location of the items or at the Warehouse. The two individuals responsible for calling when a pickup is needed will be Charles Garrett at 303-393-2150, and Jules Lee at 303-393-5201. Mr. Lee and Mr. Garrett will work together as to who will place the call. A site visit will be scheduled on December 18, 2000 at 2:00 P.M. All interested parties are to meet at the Warehouse loading dock at the medical center. Contract Period: January 1, 2001 through December 31, 2001. Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center employees are prohibited from bidding. Payment is to be in the form of a Cashier's check; certified check; or money order. Bid opening will be O/A 12-21-00 at 2:00 P.M. (MST)at the VA Medical Center, 1055 Clermont Street, 4th Floor Conference Room #403, Denver, CO 80220.
