Description

USDA, Forest Service, Northern Province Acquisitions, is issuing a negotiated contract to perform multi-task, labor intensive reforestation work on the Shasta-Trinity National Forest in Shasta, Siskiyou, Trinity and Tehama Counties, California. The work includes, but is not limited to, manual site preparation, tree planting, animal control, manual release, precommercial and biomas tree thinning, hand piling, felling, handline construction and tree pruning. An option may also be added for miscellaneous needs to make crews available by the day for work such as fire rehabilitation. The contract will provide for a base year plus up to 4 years of optional renewal with a guaranteed minimum of $10,000 per contract per year. The estimated start date is February 15, 2001. Both technical and price proposals will be required.
