Description

Fluor Fernald, Inc., Prime Contractor for the United States Department of Engergy's Fernald Environmental Management Project, Fernald, Hamilton/Butler County, Ohio seeks a QUALIFIED SOURCE to fabricate and assemble the structural components of an instrument platform that will support a gamma-ray spectrometer and associated equipment. The platform will attach to a quick coupler mounted on the arm of a commerical hydraulically operated backhoe. The design for the platform will be provided. The platform may be constructed using custom-made and/or off-the-shelf components. No materials will be provided. Construction must be completed by about 02/29/01. As-built drawings of the platform must be prepared. Fabricators maust have established capabilities in machining, welding, and sheet metal forming. The intent of this annoucement is to identify qualified sources with the demonstrated capability to produce the type of platform described in accordance with Fluor Fernald Inc.'s requirements.
