Description

Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform dockside repairs including but not limited to the following Base and Option items: BASE ITEMS: (1) Clean, Inspect, and Preserve Diesel Fuel, JP-5 Fuel and Oil Tanks, (2) Clean, Inspect, and Test Hot Water Accumulator Tank and Hydro-Pneumatic Tank, (3) Overhaul Motor Generator Sets, (4) Overhaul Hangar Drive Mechanisms and Hanger Door (5) Modify Laundry Bulkhead, (6) Galley Renovation, (7) Renew Deck Covering, (8) Provide Temporary Logistics, (9) Renew Reefer Decks, (10) GFP report in accordance with solicitation Section H. OPTION ITEMS: (1) Minor Coating Repairs to Diesel Storage Tanks, (2) Minor Coating Repairs to Diesel Service Tanks, (3) Minor Coating Repairs to Drain Tank, (4) Minor Coating Repairs to Overflow Tank, (5) Minor Coating Repairs to Oily Waste Storage Tank, (6) Minor Coating Repairs to Hot Water Accumulator Tank, (7) Minor Coating Repairs to Hydro-Pneumatic Tank, (8) Provide Additional Temporary Logistics. THE WORK SHALL BE PERFORMED AT THE VESSEL'S HOMEPIER. THE HOMEPIER FOR THE USCGC TAHOMA IS NEW BEDFORD, MA. Vessel length is 270 Foot Medium Endurance Cutter. Vessel's availability is for Fifty Six (56) days, starting 5 March 2001. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. A non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required, in the form of certified check or money order payable to the U.S. Coast Guard, for requested drawings. Drawings are now available on CD Rom. The CD Rom sets are available for all cutters and will be free of charge to contractors upon request. This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. All Businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit bids for the subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued on or about December 4, 2000. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. "ATTENTION: MINORITY, WOMEN-OWNED, AND DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES (DBES). The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
