Description

This notice is to modify previous Pre-Solicitation Notice dated 2 November 2000, Solicitation number F44600-00-R0061, Repair Kitchens and Bathrooms. The solicitation number has been changed to F44600-01-R0003. This procurement is set aside for 8(a) concerns only. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The NAICS code is 23332, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a size standard of $27.5 million. This procurement will be awarded based on past performance price tradeoff. Project scope consists of repairs to kitchens and bathrooms in various Main Base and Bethel Manor military housing units on Langley AFB, VA. Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: All necessary demolition and substrate preparation; removal and replacement of exhaust fans and installation of GFI receptacles; abatement of lead-based paint (LBP) in or on items affected by demolition/renovation work, completed in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications. This procurement will result in an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity basic contract with one option year. All work involved in this contract will be issued as either a Basic Delivery Order that specific work orders will be placed against or a delivery order issued for a specific unit. The minimum delivery order amount is $5,000. The solicitation will be issued in electronic format only through the Electronice Posting System at FedBizOpps.gov. Paper copies will not be available. You must register on the site mentioned above to receive notification of changes to the solicitation. You will need the viewers for Microsoft Word (.doc), Acrobat Reader (.pdf) and Source View. Further information will be available in the solicitation. All potential bidders are reminded, in accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration, lack of registration in the CCR will make that bidder ineligible for award.
