Description

This will be a firm fixed price construction contract to accomplish the following: The bank of the Brazos River at the Waco Sewerage Treatment Plant, Waco, Texas, will be regraded to a sloped bank for approximately 750 feet. Approximately 26,000 CY of soil will be excavated and stockpiled on site for later use. The sloped bank upstream and downstream of an active 72" Outlet Structure will be protected by placing a stone toe dike and 24" riprap stone on 9 inches of bedding on the slope. Portions of abandoned 72" and 18" Outlet Structures will be demolished, removed, and disposed of off site. Approximately 9,000 CY of soil will be backfilled over the stone protection to form a tie-back at the upstream end of the project. Disturbed areas of the site will be seeded for a stand of grass. Some site clearing and grubbing will be required. The Government intends to issue this solicitation and all amendments through the use of the Internet. No additional media (CD ROMS, Floppy Disks, Faxes, or paper) will be provided unless the Government determines that it is necessary. Estimated Cost Range: $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Solicitation to be issued on or about 1 December 2000. Bids will be opened on or about 4 January 2001. Duration of the contract is approximately 250 days. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 234990, Heavy Construction, which corresponds to SIC Code 1629. Small Business Standard is $27.5 Million. Bids from all qualified concerns are solicited.
