Description

Nantahala Gorge Commercial Take-Out Upgrading. Project consists of upgrading the existing gravelled take-out. Scope of work includes clearing, excavation, retaining wall and concrete slabs construction, asphalt paving and landscaping. Project is located in Swain County, N. C. (Wayah Ranger District), off U. S. Hwy 19. Estimated cost is $100,000-$250,000. Construction shall start in January 2001 and be completed not later than May 1, 2001. There is a $25.00 non-refundable charge for plans. To request plans, send check made payable to USDA Forest Service to Jan Walthall, USDA Forest Service, P.O. Box 2750, Asheville, NC 28802. Plans with bid packages will be sent via first class mail after receipt of check.
