- Description
- NASA/HQ plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a conference facility. The Office of the Assistant Inspector General for Auditing, NASA OIG, will hold a staff conference in Norfolk, Virginia on December 11-15, 2000. The following are requirements for the conference: 7 93 sleeping room December 11-15, 2000 7 8 additional sleeping rooms for guest speakers December 11-15, 2000 7 A reception and plated dinner for 93 persons December 11, 2000 7 93 breakfast buffet lunches December 12-14, 2000 7 Meeting facility with podiums and amplification for up to 93 persons set up in rounds The Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel was selected after a site survey. Based on location, facilities, and price/which is below the per diem rate for the Norfolk area. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/HQ intends to award this Purchase Order to Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel. The hotel best met the requirements for the conference. The Government intends to acquire this commercial service using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on November 20, 2000. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to further compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
