Description

Miscellaneous drydock voyage repairs to the NOAA vessel McArthur. Characteristics: welded steel hull, 175 feet in length, breadth of 38 feet, draft of 21.1 feet, 995 tons displacement; two EMD 567 Diesel engines (800 HP). Work will include, but not be limited to: Hauling vessel, American Bureau of Shipping Load Line Survey, inspection and repairs to sea valves, inspect and/or test unfired pressure vessels, inspect the cathodic protection system, clean sea-chest vents and supply, sandsweep, sandblast and paint hull, remove and range inspect the port and starboard anchor and anchor chain, inspect rudders, inspect and measure bearing wear on port and starboard propeller shafts, clean ventilation ducts, renew anchor windlass brakes and modify grease fittings, sandblast and paint potable water tank, replace salt water flush piping, insulate forward bulkhead, open, clean and inspect Omnipure MDS, replace spark arrester/silencer, install GFE boiler, overhaul the service generator, and weld repair sewage piping. Vessel is homeported in Seattle, Washington. This is a 100 percent small-business set-aside. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by this agency.
