Description

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport intends to purchase Fiber Optic Hull Penetrators for High Frequency Sail Arrays per PPD 802-6337554, Rev A, quantity up to 27 over three years. First Article Testing (FAAT) will be required. If supplies identical or substantially identical to those called for have been previously furnished by the offeror and accepted by the Government, the requirement for first article approval may be waived by the Contracting Officer. One FAAT Fiber Optic Hull Penetrator will required. First year production quantity up to four units. Second year production up to eleven units. Third year production up to eleven units. NAVSEA Drawing PPD 802-6337554 Rev A, will NOT be provided with the solicitation package. Call Nancy Howard, 401-832-1545, to request a copy of the Drawing. Required delivery date is 12 months or sooner from date of award. 100% Small Business Set aside. NAICS code is 33599. Award will be based on Best Value. Award criteria is past performance and price. Acquisition history: Draco Engineering, Portsmouth, RI previously provided Fiber Optic Hull Penetrators. Proposals are due 15 January 2001.
