Description

This is a sole source solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format FAR Subpart 12.6 and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This non-competitive action will be processed in accordance with FAR 6.302.1. (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.) The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) School of Agriculture has an established wetland water management program at their Small Farm Outreach Wetland Water Management Center. Summary of requirements for this procurement is as follows: The proposed contractual action is for a study of on-farm storage reservoirs for agricultural water supply and environmental opportunities. The contractor shall provide a report documenting all research and analysis conducted as part of the investigations. The report shall detail all findings and conclusions from the studies. Studies shall include analysis to determine optimum designs to maximize storage, minimize maintenance, and identify fish and wildlife features that could be incorporated into reservoirs. The solicitation incorporates all of the applicable provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 97-20, as if stated in full text, as well as the terms and conditions of FAR 52.212-1. Offerers should complete and include a copy of the Provision 52.212-3 Alt 1. Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with the offer. Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this aquisition. To obtain a copy of the above clauses and provisions call the Point of Contact listed above. A Firm Fixed Price Commercial Items Purchase Order, utilizing simplified acquisition procedures, will be used. A quote should be delivered to the address above no later than 11/27/00, 2:30 P.M. (CST). The supplies or services to be procured under this solicitation are classified in North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 541710. See Note 22.
