Description

This procurement action is 100 % set-aside for small business. Solicitation DAAA09-00-R-5091. Rebuild of one LeBlond-Carlsted Single Ended, Rapid, Boring Lathe at Watervliet Arsenal (WVA), NY. The serial number is 60RC508. To be eligible to receive the solicitation and CD ROM with the specifications and scope of work, you will be required to complete the "Contractor Personnel Agreement on Non-Disclosure of Watervliet Arsenal Technology". The form may be requested via fax or email. You will not be sent a solicitation package until the form has been completed and returned. A pre-proposal site visit is scheduled for 10 Jan 2001, 1:00 PM at WVA. Notification of any change to this time will only be sent to those contractors who have requested the solicitation and contacted the contract specialist Ms. Chris Tindle with their intent to attend. FAX # 309-782-4955, email tindlec@osc.army.mil. No phone calls will be accepted for the solicitation or the form. The complete solicitation including scope of work, evaluation factors, and clauses will be on a CD ROM. The complete package shall be downloaded, completed and returned hardcopy with your proposal. The CD ROM will be issued on or about 30 days from the date of this announcement. Closing date for return of proposal/solicitation will be on or about 31 Jan 2001. If you wish to have expedited delivery of the CD ROM, please furnish a FED-X, UPS, etc account number with solicitation request. If an account number is not furnished the CD ROM will be mailed via regular postal services. Solicitation requests shall include your government cage code, DUNs number, tax identification number, complete address, phone number, fax number and email address and to repeat, your express account number if applicable. It is the contractors responsibility to ensure all the required information is included in your request for the solicitation package, if not, a package will not be forwarded to you. You must be registered in the CCR to be eligible for award. Abbreviated description of work effort: At a minimum, the machine rebuild shall consist of the rebuild/replacement of the complete headstock system, horizontal way surfaces, boring bar drive assembly, lubrication system, operator controls and ancillary equipment particular to this machine. The contractor shall be responsible for the complete integration of both the new and existing equipment. CBD Numbered Notes 1 and 9 are applicable.
