Description

IFB FACILITIES SUPPORT CONTRACT FOR SOLID WASTE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL in support of SOL N68711-00-B-8972 -- Contracting Officer: Merry C. Pilgrim, EFDSW. This is a Combination Firm Fixed-Price/Indefinite Quantity contract. The work includes the furnishing of all materials, labor, equipment, transportation, management, supervision, and incidental related work as required to perform Solid Waste Collection and Disposal Services at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, CA. -- The work includes the collection and disposal of garbage, ashes, debris, rubbish, and other discarded solid waste products disposed in Government and Contractor-furnished trash containers positioned at various collection stations. Collected waste shall be disposed of at the MCAGCC, Twentynine Palms, CA, Sanitary Landfill. On and Off Base Military Family Housing sites are not included under this solicitation. The locations of collection stations, container type, size and service frequencies are listed in the solicitation. Items excluded and shall NOT be collected are: Hazardous Wastes; Solids or dissolved materials in domestic sewage; Other pollutants in water sources such as silt and dissolved or suspended solids; infectious/medical wastes; and recyclable materials defined to mean that container(s) filled with green waste, metals, (shapes and shipping containers), wood crates and pallets. All services shall be performed in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, Environmental, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances. A Quality Control Program will be required as set forth in Section E of the Contract Specifications. NOTE: All Federal Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database, new contract awards can only be made to contractors who are registered in the CCR. Site visit 10:00 a.m., local time, 28 November 2000. Bid Opening 2:00 p.m., local time, 18 December 2000. Total duration of contract is 365 calendar days; however, four (4) one-year options may be exercised at the discretion of the Government in accordance with clause "Option to Extend the Term of the Contract -- Services (NAVFAC 5252.217-9301 (JUN 1994))". This procurement is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program -- The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 4953, Refuse Systems with a size standard of $6M, and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number of 562219, Other Non-hazardous Waste Treatment and Disposal. -- The Government intends to issue this solicitation through the use of the Internet. Plans and Specifications will NOT be directly provided in a paper hard copy format. Notification of any changes to this solicitation (amendments) shall be made only on the Internet. It is therefore the Contractor's responsibility to check the below listed address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation's plans and specifications.
