Description

The U.S. Army Space and Missile Command (SMDC) intends to enter into a noncompetitive contract for security administrative support services. The contractor is to provide security administrative support services to maintain and operate the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence (DCSINT), Headquarters, U.S. Army Space and Missile Command (USASMDC), and DCINT customers as required. Specifically, the contractor shall be responsible for assigning an administrative assistant that possess a "TOP SECRET" clearance based on a current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI), and be determined eligible for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii) this effort is to be performed by SYTEX Corporation as award to any other source would likely result in a substantial duplication of cost to the government not expected to be recovered through competition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the government will consider other responses from interested sources. All responses should be directed to SMDC-CM-AA, Ms. Jennifer L. Campbell, Contracting Officer, (703) 607-2011, P O Box 15280, Arlington, VA 22215-0280 and must be received fifteen (15) days from the date of this notice. Because the fifteenth day falls on a non-business workday, the interested sources are due on Monday, November 13, 2000. Determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
