Description

The purpose of this amendment is to clarify some concerns which have been addressed relative to this solicitation, as indicated below. All qualified responsible Small Business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the Agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B." Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Any referenced notes can be viewed at the following URL: http://genesis.gsfc.nasa.gov/nasanote.html . CLARIFICATIONS TO QUESTIONS ASKED ARE AS LISTED BELOW: The Rolled Up Narrative has an error in it. The next to last requirement, "BASED ON A MAXIMUM AMBIENT TEMPERATURE OF (104 F) THE FULL LOAD CURRENT RATING OF THIS DRIVE IS 309 AMPERES", should be deleted. Here are the questions/answers: QUESTION 1. How many drives are being requested? ( ref "348 AMPERES CONTINUOUS RATED FULL LOAD OUTPUT CURRENT" and "THE FULL LOAD CURRENT RATING OF THIS DRIVE IS 309 AMPERES." ANSWER 1. One 348 amperes continuous rated full load output current is requested. The second requirement, for the 309 amp rated drive, shall be removed from the description. QUESTION 2. Please provide the means of obtaining information "CATALOG # 0400-0250VT-N1-D F-S (US DRIVES INC)", "CAT # 3000-4045" and, "CAT # PXN-POT". ANSWER 2. I do not have the catalog #. Contact U. S. Drives, Inc. at 716-731-1606 or 716-731-1524 for information. QUESTION 3. Is the enclosure size fixed or will a larger dimension be considered? "NEMA 1 FLOOR MOUNT ENCLOSURE -- 90" X 36" X 25" (H X W X D)." The drive which I have to offer is (another dimension). ANSWER 3. Yes, the enclosure size is fixed. As stated above, the closing date is extended to CLOSE OF BUSINESS November 14, 2000. Any responses received after this date WILL NOT be considered.
